Our Story

How It Started

Tecprospects Ltd began in 2019 with a simple observation. We noticed that retirees and older adults in Cork wanted to explore their region's beautiful countryside, but most walking guides weren't designed with them in mind. Routes were either too challenging or lacked the local context that makes exploration meaningful.

So we decided to create something different. We've spent years walking the paths around Midleton, Ballymaloe, and beyond. We've talked to local farmers, gardeners, and historians. We've tested routes with real walkers to understand what actually works.

Today, that's what we do. We document walks that respect your pace. We highlight the stories behind the places. And we make sure you've got practical information—surface types, rest spots, accessibility details—before you set out.

How We Build Our Guides

Every walk we document goes through a careful process. We're not using generic templates. Each route gets personal attention, on-the-ground research, and seasonal updates.

1

We Walk It

Every route starts with us actually walking it. We note the surfaces, the gradients, the views that matter. Not from a desk—from the ground.

2

We Document It

Distance, time, facilities, accessibility. We capture practical details you'll actually need. Plus the stories—what makes this place worth visiting.

3

We Keep It Fresh

Seasons change. Infrastructure updates. We revisit routes regularly so the information you're reading is current and reliable.

What We've Learned

Voices From the Paths

We've been fortunate to walk with people across Cork. Their feedback shapes everything we do.

"Wasn't sure if I could manage a proper walk anymore. The Ballymaloe gardens route was perfect—not too strenuous, but still felt like a real adventure. I've recommended it to everyone in my book club."
